Continuing Education Cycles & Licensing Requirements

Do you need continuing education credits? DTABC is committed to help our members meet the continuing education requirements as set out by the College of Dental Technicians of BC. Dental technicians must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours of continuing education in each three-year cycle. 24 credits must related to your Scope of Practice/Technical and a maximum 6 non-technical credits.

The current CE cycle begins on March 1, 2020 and ends on February 28, 2023. The College will not renew your license registration if you have not met the continuing education requirements. Make sure that you update your CE credits on the College of Dental Technicians website.
